The Wild Rumpus is an event that happens every year around Halloween in our town. It's very popular within our school and community. It was a challenge to take pictures at night, as the lighting was not easy to manage. I learned a lot about how to operate a flash camera during this shoot.

As a social media intern I'm responsible for shooting events occurring in downtown Athens. For this event, community members were voting on their visual preference for an outdoor green space. I loved speaking with everyone and getting the opportunity to vote myself whileI captured the event on film.

I didn't have much experience with photography and shooting events before I decided to take some photos of a softball game. Although I didn't take enough photos for it to be published as a gallery, I was proud of some of the shots I managed to get and it allowed me to dip my toes in the world of photojournalism.
